Church Update 2020-06-01

Calvary Chapel Artesia Re-opening: Phase 1

Good morning Brothers & Sisters,

It was such a blessing to see you all on Zoom yesterday morning.

As much as I've enjoyed our virtual services, like you, I am very excited to finally be able to meet in person again this coming Sunday, June 7th. As mentioned, we will commence our phased reopening with just one in person meeting per week, our Sunday morning service.

As this global pandemic continues to subside, we'll little by little open our church to multiple in-person meetings and our normal schedule. Until then, I have attached the guideline document I referenced yesterday morning which provides a comprehensive overview of how our church services will be managed starting Sunday.

Please take a few minutes to review this document to ensure you have a good understanding of the policies and procedures we've crafted to ensure compliance to the LA County Department of Health and most importantly, create a safe environment for our church family.

I also mentioned yesterday the opportunity we have to support Pastor Brian McDaniel and Cross to Light with a much needed vehicle for the everyday running of that important ministry in Haiti. I would love for our fellowship to support at least 1/3 of the $5,000 needed to purchase this 4x4 Honda which will allow teams to get into the more remote villages where churches have been planted.

If you are interested in participating, please do so via our church website, www.calvarychapelartesia.com, and select the "Give" option where you can choose "Haiti" to properly direct your love offering. At a minimum, we can all continue to pray for this ministry, the Haiti Pastors, and this nation that the Gospel continues to go forward leading many to salvation.

Those are the updates for today church family. Beyond everything I've just shared however, please PRAY for our nation. You see what I see in terms of the unrest and division across our country. May the Lord have mercy on our nation and may we as a people repent and turn to Him:

"...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Love you all,

Pastor Bob
